Having to drive a car day in, day out may present to it wear and tear that needs to be checked and repaired so that it is safe to use at all times while on the road. The uk government is dedicated to seeing that its citizens are protected from accidents on the road that could otherwise been caused by driving of unroadworthy vehicles. The ministry of transport together with the automobiles department in uk conducts annual car MOT which aims at seeing that all cars on the road are in a good condition. If this is not the case for your car then it is withdrawn from the road and you cannot use it anymore. All the vehicles that have been in use for three years and above go through this test and it is very OK since it is not costly to do it. When you are not satisfied with the results you can do a retest for another one day and it is free. When it is done you will be satisfied and at peace every time your car is on the road.
