Most people when they think of an Irish pub might bring to mind the excessive drinking and resulting brawls as are seen in one of my favourite classics by John Wayne, "The Quiet Man." In this flick, while the men were buying each other drinks and were sometimes slapping each other on the backs, they seemed friendly enough to start out with. But as the drinking of their alcoholic beverages of choice continued on they would somehow end up getting into a dispute of some sort. The dispute usually stemmed from a person's political or religious affiliation. Tempers would flare and that was when things would get out of control with lots of harsh words, and then came the fighting. A bar brawl! In the one scene the brawl took in just about the whole community and spread to the countryside. So when a friend of mine invited me to go to an Irish pub she knew about and told me that it is known for, rather than shouting and fighting, its friendly people, I was a bit skeptical of course. I soon found out, though, that she was right. Everyone, including the wait staff, was super friendly, even making us feel like we were their old friends. Even the placemats have witticisms about friendship and peace. Pleasantly surprising to me, there were no fights - just friendly banter and everyone getting along well thus making for a pleasant experience after all. |

The second semester of the school year just began. While classes have already started, there are a few students who are still lining up at the Registrar's office, hoping to be enrolled. Marco is one of these students. He could have enrolled much earlier if only his parents sent him some money. Since he had no other source to get money to pay for his tuition fees, Marco had to wait naturally. When at last the money arrived, Marco did not waste any more time. He went to the university right away. Now, he still needs to wait for the approval of the dean. While waiting, Marco found that Ryan was also waiting in line. He went up to him and they ended up talking about hog roasts in Leicester, among many other things. The guys waited and waited until the Registrar called on them. They were very glad to hear that their application for enrollment was approved by the dean. The next day, both Marco and Ryan, found themselves already in the classrooms of the university. |

Without the beautiful decoration or colorful frosting a cake is just plain bread nothing special. The primary factor that makes a cake stand out among other baked goods is the decorations this is so true that some people are even open to buying cakes with amazing design even if the taste is not that outstanding. Here are some useful cake decorating tips to help you create your masterpiece:
Remember that the cake should be in a serving platter while you are decorating it simply put a number of narrow waxed paper strips under the edges of the cake to keep the plate clean. After you are done frosting, simply pull out the waxed paper strips.
Dont forget to brush off crumbs from the cake so that you have a smooth base to work with.
Always spread a thin layer of frosting over the whole cake to serve as base, then apply the rest of the frosting, thereafter, start decorating.
To get the most vivid color, use paste instead of liquid food coloring. |

I attended a workshop out of town the other day and the experience I had was amazing. To start with, we had the best and prominent speakers who came to speak to us on various matters, most of which were about business advancement. They had so much to share from their own experience. I never thought I would ever interact with such a high profile of people. Then, the catering was great. Can you imagine we had high tea catering at our service 24/7? The was absolutely awesome. We were also using the latest modern equipment, especially when making presentations. Some equipments were a bit complicated to use, but we had staff ready for help whenever we were stuck. I could not wait to go back to my company to share the experience. I learnt a lot pertaining to business matters, and when I eventually establish my business in future, I will give it all my best in order to keep its standards high. After all, high standards companies are the ones which are dominating our markets today. |
