My favorite bag is not one of those popular clutch bags that every woman seems to be carrying these days, but a groovy little shopping bag that has hard handles that hook onto the sides of a shopping cart. While I’m shopping, the bag hangs from the sides and stays open. Once I’ve filled it, I can fold the handles down and rest the bag in the bottom of my cart until I’ve finished all my shopping, and then repeat the process after I’ve made my purchases. It’s really handy, because it maximizes the space in my shopping cart and it helps me avoid placing heavier groceries on top of more fragile boxes or tender, fresh produce. And I know I’m doing my part for the environment by using a reusable bag instead of accepting one of the store’s paper or plastic bags. Every time I take it to the store, people stop to ask me where I bought it and comment on what a great, clever design it is. |

My favorite color for pashminas and scarves is bright pink. It is such a cheerful color, it goes with all my clothes and really brings out my skin tone. People say I look radiant when I’m wearing something in a bright pink color near my face. Bright pink goes well with a lot of different colors. It is funky with black, happy with light blue and positively electric with orange. A bright pink scarf with white clothing gives and instant springtime feeling. I’ve worn a bright pink scarf to weddings and parties, but also to work and to the gym. An outfit for a picnic on a breezy late summer day isn’t complete without my bright pink scarf. Bright pink works for blondes like me, but also for brunettes and even for redheads. It is the perfect color to cheer up any outfit. I can recommend a bright pink scarf to everyone. |

I really am not a shopping lover, but when it is Christmas time, I like to think about what fits each person I have to buy for. If possible (and normally it's for a woman), I love getting out my jewellery making supplies and making a unique jewellery item as a gift.
I do not like gift cards, they require no imagination and it looks like you gave this gift no thought.Sometimes when I am just out shopping, I see something and I say, that looks like Aunt Millie. That is the way I like to shop, Aunt Millie is an avid gardener, the item was an apron, with tools for the garden in the pockets. Good Huh. Books are a wonderful gift, if you know what the person likes, I personally love books.The proverbial tie, candy, serving bowl, wine, looks like a last minute gift, someone you forgot, not really appreciated.I like to make a list and then look it over and try to match gifts to the person, I don't know if it is a good way to do it, but I think people know if you thought about them when buying. So put on your thinking cap and really pick some things that will make you both happy. |

There are no other fashion items quite like jeans and boots. They can make you look slim, tall, elegant, or down to earth, comfy, ready for fun or even classy, top lady. OK, I appreciate the love other ladies have for boutique fashion like Maggie and Me dresses etc, but I like to keep it simple. Because there are so many different combinations of these two great items, that you can find new styles everytime. You can have plain easy going denim, or black tight ones with glittery bits, or dye-tye à la hippie, or bootcut as in a cowboy movie. You can make it from heavy metal to metrpolitan in a whiff. Boots then, they can be ultra fashionable, in black leather with stilettoes, or plain everyday brown leather, or even furry things that keep you warm and fluffy! You can choose from red plastic vintage boots that make you look like a '60s star, or knitted ones that can only be worn by teenagers on a sunny day. Whatever you feel like, they're great! |

When I go to parties, I will usually take a cue from the celebrity and gossip magazines. And when it comes to fancy dress ideas, I like to copy styles from unusual-dressing celebrities such as Bjork and Lady Gaga, because they often wear different and original outfits. I don't go as overboard as they do, howeverthey often wear extremely outlandish wigs, hats, jewelry or other accessories. I just do my best to copy the basic clothes where I can. Between vintage shops, ebay and celebrity knock-off clothing shops online, it is fairly easy, though sometimes it can get expensive. I try to go as cheaply as I am, because I have to live on a budget. But quite often, I can find it for quite cheap and it will surprise my friends because at least one will assume I blew my bank account on an outfit, when I did not. I had the most fun this last Halloween, when I went to my favorite cousin's costume party in a Lady Gaga-style outfit. It was a mock-up of the metallic spiral gown she wore to the 2010 Grammy Awards except mine was longer and had short sleeves because I don't have long sleeves. Everyone loved it. So far, that has been my favorite look. But there are other parties to comewho knows what celeb might inspire me next? |

My handbag is my closest friend. I call it 'her' name. I fell in love with her first time I spotted her. She was a gift from a friend of mine, originally from Belgium. With its slightly velvet colors of blue, green and yellow made of silk and leather makes me want her with me all the time. Not to mention all the secret departments and many zippers inside, I can have everything with me whenever I need whatever I need. Moreover, I feel so sexy with her. No other girl close or around has a similar one. Feeling good in your outfit is also very important part of feeling good and feminine. That is why there are so many styles, colors, fabrics out of which are handbags made - from pink clutch bags to black satchels. Important to mention, she is a summer handbag. So far I did not find any like this one for winter. I will for sure search a bit longer to get one as good for winter. Have you ever been a friend to a bag? |

My all time favourite pair of shoes are my UGG boots because you can wear them anytime even in the summer. Going to shoe shops in the mall near my home, I always gravitate to the area selling UGGs. I am a shoe guru so I can tell whether or not you buy the cheap brand of UGGs or the actual UUG brand. You can get UGGs in tons of colours and sizes. I love the short ones with a pair of shorts it looks super cute. My other pair of shoes that are closest to my favourite are probably my flip-flops but that is only because I can show off my feet but it sucks because you can only wear them in summer. Which in Canada is only a couple months so not that long. I love every single pair of my shoes but as you can see these are always my favourite. My UGGs are always first in line up with my flip-flops second. I just love them. |

One day, I was having a fun day shopping in New York City. My boyfriend called and broke up with me. He told me he had been considering breaking up with me for a long time. I hung up on him and started to cry. I needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of Fifth Avenue, so I went down a few side streets and alleys. I was in a part of New York City that I had never seen before. It was almost scary. Just as I was about to turn around, I saw it. It was a blue leather handbag with green and purple gems all over it. I automatically felt better about the break up. I had to have that beautiful bag. It looked liberating. When I was with my boyfriend, I had this thing about pink evening bags - I felt like it was a "girlfriend" bag. Now I needed a bag that said "independence". I went into the store and to my luck, the handbag was on sale! I snatched it off the shelve and checked out within fifteen minutes. I felt so much better after buying that handbag. After walking back to Fifth Avenue, I was stopped by Hayley Neverly, a twenty year old actress I had seen in my magazines. She complimented my bag and asked where I got it. I told her and she said she would have to go pick one up. I was so happy, I had forgotten about the break up all together. A month later, a whole page in one of my magazines was featuring the blue leather bag with the green and purple gems. I started that trend by telling Hayley where to buy it. In the middle of the page was her picture. That handbag will always be my favorite handbag. It distracted me from the pain of a break up and healed me. |

Shoes, like other fashion accessories, have greatly benefitted from the internet. Now you can buy all kinds of shoes online - from Hotter shoes to sneakers to gum boots.
One such brand of shoes caught my attention a number of years ago and I'd like to touch upon this brand : Van shoes.
Vans shoes were founded by Paul Van on march 15th, 1966. One of their first popular shoe was the diamond pattern with the sole across the entire bottom on the shoe and where they added vertical lines on them. Later many skateboarders began to use these shoes becuase they became a decent shoe to use for skating, With the growing popularity they have made more varies in different colors, patterns, materials etc. Its still a popular to own to this day. These shoes are still pretty affordable compared to other shoe brands and they do survive the wear and tear the same time span as other shoe brands. They are to this day my favorite foot wear i own about 5 pairs of these shoes and still out looking for more. This brand is expanding rapidly and you can now find Vans stores in select malls where the store is primarily focused on their footwear. Now I can see more people purchasing this great product cause it will be easier to find since they don't sell these shoes at a foot locker or champs. Nonetheless they're worth the 42$ you would buy these shoes for. |

Me and my wife were married in a small church in a small community. After being married for 18 years this July, there is one part of my wedding day that I will never forget. I have never seen this happen at a wedding and did not think I would be seeing this at mine. There were small problems on the day of the wedding. The cake arrived with no cake topper that I thought the company makeing the cake was providing, and the bridal comb tiara my wife-to-be was going to wear looked stunning. I had family from out of town show up late. All these things were problems, but easily fixed. What happend during the ceremony will forever live in infamy. My soon to be bride was coming down the isle, as beautiful as anything I have ever seen in my life. I did not realise at this time that she did not have her boquet. The ceremony is going good until the preacher got to the part where it is said: If anyone knows of a reason why these two should not be wed, speak now or forever hold your peace. I am of course facing forward when I hear, "Excuse me". I look at my soon to be wife who looks horrified. My heart is now in my throat. My wifes mother stands and says "She forgot her bouqet". Then she proceeded to run out of the room and get it. Harmless enough but scared the crap out of me. I was told one day I would look back at this and laugh. Everyone else is laughing but I am still waiting on that day. |

What's up fellas? Wanna know how to look good without having to try very hard? Don't know what to wear when you head out with the boys to make that positive first impression? Despite the fact that my girlfriend has all the help she needs when it comes to fashion - from fashion buckle belts to tote bags - (her friends, her magazines, the programs she watches are all geared towards women), men are getting more and more help these days with fashion. Well, no worries because I am going to share a few of my favorite fashion tips to keep things fresh and clean when you leave the crib.
First of all, I think every man needs to have a few nice pairs of denim jeans in his wardrobe. It would be even better if each pair was a different shade than the next, for example, one dark blue, one gray, and one black. This gives you a lot of options for going out and most of all it's pretty casual and comfortable. It does not take much effort to look nice in a fresh pair of jeans.
Another necessity for every man is a button up shirt. This is a very versatile piece of clothing and can be worn for many different settings: workplace, going out, formal occasions, and even casual every day dress. Finally, for guys that do not have time to do their hair in the morning, a nice baseball or fashion cap is a must-have. It not only hides your hair but can be a bold fashion statement as well.
So guys, remember this: dressing nice does not have to be a pain. It is as easy as throwing on a pair of jeans, a dress shirt, and a baseball cap. |
